How does the brain store information and memories?
BoB asked:
What does your brain do exactly in order to store information like what you did last weekend, the letters of the alphabet, or the names of your friends?
I dont want to know what happens psychologically (encoding, consolidating, retrieving and all that crap) but what is actually happening to your brain biologically and what the neurons and glia cells are actually doing to store all this information, and how it is stored.
I know that nobody knows exactly how it’s done at the moment with current technology, but what theories are there?
