How can I store coffee without everything smelling like it?

Please don’t tell me to freeze or refrigerate the coffee…I used to work with coffee and know that only promotes mold.
You might try keeping the can of coffee in an open, ventilated area. For example, on top of the refrigerator, or on the counter next to the coffee maker, or on an open shelf rather than in a closed cupboard.. Joy
