How do I make ice cream sandwiches with store bought ice cream?

Is it possible to buy cookies and ice cream from the store and just scoop some ice cream in the middle and freeze?

    yes! But what is really is yummy is making homemade cookies (chocolate chip is good with these) and spreading softened ice cream in between them. jill

    Yes

    2 cookies
    1 scoop ice cream
    Ice cream scoop
    Cookies
    Ice cream

    Take two cookies of your choice for one sandwich.

    Dig out a scoop of your favorite ice cream and place it on the flat side of one of the cookies.

    Place the flat side of the other cookie over the ice cream and press firmly to spread the ice cream over the surface of the cookies.

    Place each cookie in a plastic wrapper and freeze them. Angel****1

    Ice Cream Sandwiches

    Ingredients
    8 large cookies
    ice cream
    miniature chocolate chips
    chocolate topping

    Method
    Start with eight large cookies. Spread a cookie with ice cream, top with another cookie, wrap in foil and freeze until ready to serve. If desired, allow ice cream to soften first and stir in extra goodies such as miniature chocolate chips or swirl in some chocolate topping Tom ツ

    They have Toll’s House Bakeable sandwich cookie dough that you can bake and then scoop the ice cream onto.

    You can make them with store bought or homemade cookies. Get creative- raspberry sorbet is really good on pizzelles, peach ice cream on gingerbread cookies…. StephT

    Yeah, Its really good if you put ice cream in the middle of two pop-tarts.

    why not, just let the ice cream get soft on the counter for a bit to make it easy to spread between the cookies and then re-freeze before eating Laura

    and you can experiment with different ‘crusts’ for the sandwiches and different ice cream in the middle.(:
