How do I remove an inkmate tag the store left on my clothes?

It’s very annoying to go back to the store, and it’s the second time in a row they’ve done it.

If you don’t have that little tool, it will explode on your clothing. Go back with your receipt and ask to speak to a manager. Explain to the manager the past problems and that it’s causing you to think again about shopping in their store. Not only that but that you have plenty of friends that shop there as well and you’ll let them know of the service issues. MarLo
I’ll tell you what I did.
I had a pair of jeans with the tag left on. It was the kind with a flat circular part on the outside, and a conical piece on the inside.
Not knowing how much mess to expect, I took a hammer and went outside in my backyard. I placed the inktag on a stepping stone, flat side down. After a few hits, it just broke apart, didn’t rip my jeans up or anything. What’s more, the ink capsules didn’t even break! The only noticeable effect on my jeans was a few little holes and scuffs from getting hit with the hammer. These are probably unavoidable.
The ink was in the flat part, on the outside (with the inkmate warning). One capsule was black, and one opaque yellow. To see what the ink was like, I just took the flat part and smashed it. It wasn’t much at all! It smelled kind of like sharpie ink. If it broke on your clothes, provided it’s not in a very noticeable place, or on light fabric, it would make a stain of maybe around an inch. Like I said, mine was on a pair of dark jeans at the bottom of the leg, so no worries.
I broke open the other side too, and it had nothing in it. Just a piece that the pin connected to; no ink.
These tags are annoying when stores leave them on. If it’s delicate/light fabric (silk, sweaters, t-shirts, etc) the safe thing is to take it back; you will probably end up damaging the garment in this method. But in a case like mine, it’s no problem to break them off. Ronnie S
You will have to take it to the store or risk ruining your clothes. I realize it is annoying but, mistakes happen everywhere as they are only human. All you need to do is tell the manager that this is the second time out of how ever many times you have shopped there. I always cjeck the prices as they scan things as well as make sure that they remove those ink tags from each item, de magnify those strips ( I always ask them to do it again just to make sure) and check each individual shoe before purchasing to assure they are the same size and I have a right and a left. I am certain the majority of people will feel that it is the workers job to catch things like that but we could pay closer attention ourselves to prevent mix-ups or at least make them fewer and farther between. hold firmly on one side and wobble random parts of the other side. they have teeth on them that slowly break off. that is if they are anything like the electronic ones eimaj1988
Why take the chance? Annoying as it is, just go back to the store (with the receipt) and ask them to do it. You will probably be more annoyed if you end up wrecking your new piece of clothing! Dozer
