How do you upload videos from a handheld camera?
Lost815 asked:
I have my handheld video camera, but my CP only recgonizes the camera when I switch it to the disc, but my video is not on the disc, it’s on the little tape. How do I get my video from the tape onto the computer? I’m doing this for a project so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Plug it into the computer
PS: it is what u r using right now FYI
you need to find a machine that can convert it
If the “little tape” is miniDV or Digital 8 tape, you need to get a firewire cable to connect the firewire port of your computer to the DV port of the camcorder. If your computer does not have a firewire port, they are typically cheap and easy to install. USB transfer of this video has not been supported for several years, so it probably won’t work.
If it is some other kind of “little tape” (VHS-C, hi8, Super8), or some other analog format, you need to get an analog/digital bridge like
Connect the camcorder to the A/D bridge with the AV cable that came in the box with the camcorder, then connect the A/D bridge to your computer.
