What can a large retail store do to prevent shrink, and save the company money?

Ok so I’m looking for a first time job. I applied to this company (a retail store) online. The online application process allows you to apply to more than one location, so I applied to several of this company’s locations in my area. The application stays on the system for about a month, so until October for me. I got a call from one of the stores and I went in for an interview. Anyways, I didn’t get the job there. However, I now have recieved a call from another store location of this company and they’d like me to go in for an interview. Same position, same company, but I was already not accepted at one of their other locations. So is there really any point in going to this interview? If I wasn’t accepted by whatever their standards for hiring are at the other location, then surely it would be the same here — yes or not?

Can a company sell there product at wholesale price to distributors and have a retail store?
