hey, opening up a online store will be a bigger task than just building a website.
what the best thing to sell will vary day by day. You can check ebay for the hottest items to sell.
There no other place selling more stuff than them and that will give you a good market on items
I know of a tool that is super inexpensive and it will answer your question better than anybody here will answer it for you. I will give you the link right now.
