I was just wondering what you guys thought of this. Obviously its beneficial to them because they can call you at any time of the night to based on previous purchases, but what are the pros and cons to the customers and businesses involved in this. And what action do you think should be taken. Sorry. Kind of switched my question.

I work at a store that doesn’t call you actually. We send out coupons for free items and since we are under an umbrella of a Brand the person’s name gets circulated that way also. I have gotten free clothes, lotion you name if for just giving my telephone number. Now this company does not sell the numbers and they get purged after 6 months(so they say). The companies need to know how much business they are bringing in per say so they can give their projections for the next year. The down side like you mentioned is that you get those crazy sales calls from some, but just keep repeating to have your name taken off the list.

Good luck I hope this helps!
